Where did those hills come from?? This was supposed to be a flat ride. We actually had more climbing than we anticipated, but they were short and steep. They were enjoyable. We rode thru dessert, and dessert and more dessert. When we stopped at Glamis, there was a group of 5th graders from Carlsbad. Doing a special ride. 120 kids and 40 parents. It was pretty nice to see other people.;for miles we saw no one . Joe set up a nice picnic for us about half way again. The stop was sooo welcomed. We were beggining to get glued to the saddle. We crossed the Colorado River and saw a group from San Diego (4) going to the same place we are. Self contained. They have been on the road for 6 days. They admired our riding studliness. We silently agreed. We felt pretty good. Even though we are not self contained. We are moving right along and feeling great!!! But do have achey feet.
