Hi everyone, we had a great time in Scottsdale. My sister in law Joy and their girls came to have dinner with me. We went to old town Scottsdale. Sooo charming . Thanks Joy, I love you!!
We were scared of the traffic heading out of town, but soon got away from it and onto a nice road going out thru Mesa. Mesa is very cycle friendly with park rest stops specifically meant for us. It was awesome. Then, there are crosswalk buttons also, just for us cyclists. It was a long way to Globe and lots of traffic when we got onto Hwy 60. Trucks and trailer, motor homes all heading out of town . We managed to avoid any problems.
Well, you know how we have been complaining about the headwinds thru the desert. Well, today I fell in love with the beauty of the desert here. It was absolutely gorgeous. Stopped every time I saw something more beautiful. Earl, now I know why you love this area so much..
And yes, of course we had HEADWINDS!! At this point, they no longer bother me. I just have to get Lola toughened up a little more, she is getting so strong..I just keep saying , Hills are our Friends!!Headwinds, what headwinds...
Well, Globe was a funny little town. Joe smelled BBQ when he was looking for a hotel ahead of us. And we smelled our way there after we cleaned up.Thanks everyone for your messages. I love them..We are so blessed to have all of you interested in our journey.
