We rode on The 60 all the way to Surprise Az... And boy, what a surprise. It has grown by leaps and bounds since the last time I passed thru . And , of course. Headwinds that have never left our fronts. We continued onto Peoria where Joe found us a little park with a bench and all. And we had a wonderful picnic. He is taking such good care of us. We could not be doing this trip without him. Soon after lunch we got on the river trail. It was a spectacular bike trail. With nice underpasses/tunnels . So, we did not have to stop to cross streets. Leaves our bike paths in the dust. We had a great time watching people fishing and enjoying the parks.
Our ride today was 80 miles. It was not physically challenging because we had no climbing but, we were tired. Heavy pedaling thru terrible pavement. Trucks and cars on the 60. Getting off of it was so nice..
Tomorrow, we have the day off. And it will be very welcomed. Today, we are tired.
Hugs, Malena

Hi Maria--I can't wait to get on the computer every night to check your blog, thanks for sharing your trip with us. Neal follows you on his computer at the High School. Happy to hear you have the day off tomorrow. Have fun.
Love, Susan
Enjoy our day off! Hopefully the winds will shift and give you a tailwind for the next leg of your trip. We love your daily posts.
Nancy
I'm very glad to see you made it through yesterday's wind. The NWS had nasty sidewinds and blowing sands forecast for your route. I had visions of two sandblasted gals staggering into a desert bar, ordering doubles, and proceeding to blog the rest of the trip from exactly that same spot.
Bien merecido el descanso chicas !!! Suerte en su proxima corrida... Saludos y Abrazos !!
